Dave, Brandon Talbot, Jesse Carter and I made our way over to Brooklyn to walk around and grab some brunch. We definitely didn’t know our way around, but still had a wonderful time of community and conversation. Brooklyn might get some slack for being “hipster” (is that even still a thing or am I just old), but it really is a cool place to spend some time. Like any major city, be smart and don’t explore areas that might not be friendly to non-locals, but definitely add it to your list if you’re visiting Manhattan and have time to take the train over.

All film images were shot with the Leica MP on Kodak Vision3 250D & 500T. ECN2 processing was handled by Prisma Film Lab in Dallas and home scanned with FilmLab app. Digital images were shot with the Leica SL3 and edited with VeryGoodPresets.

The Ferry Ride from Lower Manhattan to New Jersey passing Lady Liberty is incredibly weighty.

My own grandmother made this trek from Germany.

After leaving Wall Street (found in Part 2) I stopped by the Oculus and boy oh boy am I glad I did. What an absolutely insane feat of architecture. It’s basically a shopping mall, but it’s such an insane building. Absolutely make it a point to stop in, even just to stare up.

We’ve now come to the end of my journey in New York. Thank you, dear reader, for following along. I hope these images have been enjoyable and that you’ve come away just a little inspired. I love sharing on this platform vs. social media, as it allows me the flexibility to present the images, words, and layout how I envisioned them.

On our way out, here’s some general street photography I took throughout the trip. The bulk of these were taken on the last day on my way to pick up some bagels to fly home to my wife. She asked for that delicious NYC bagel goodness, and I couldn’t disappoint! Shout out to Tompkins Square Bagels for being fantastic! The rain was really coming down, and I was happy to have the Leica SL3 for the weather sealing.

The start of the trip can be found at Part 1 and Part 2.
