Picking up where we left off, Times Square at night with the Leica MP loaded with Kodak Vision3 500T was such a look. I’ve been shooting almost exclusively with Vision3 250D and 500T, and it’s definitely my go-to film stock right now. It’s getting kind of hard to find and a bit more expensive to process at a lab, but I just love the results.

I got my start in photography as a street photographer in Nashville, but I’m definitely out of practice. Thankfully, New York never disappoints regarding things that are interesting to photograph. Times Square is definitely a one-and-done and never do again as a tourist, but as a photographer, it was a fun way to spend the evening.

All film images were shot with the Leica MP on Kodak Vision3 250D & 500T. ECN2 processing was handled by Prisma Film Lab in Dallas and home scanned with FilmLab app. Digital images were shot with the Leica SL3 and edited with VeryGoodPresets.

And then one day everything changed. Wall Street.

Dave and I hit Wall Street on the last day of our trip for street photography. I love the variety of looks and people that was out around 8:30 on a Monday morning.

The parks in New York are obviously world-class. The energy and community that come alive in the parks is infectious. Who doesn’t love a random street festival or finding a quiet, nature-filled corner in an otherwise chaotic environment?

I’d be willing to bet more than one person has moved to NYC because they fell in love with the diversity of the parks available a subway stop away. I was lucky to spend some quality time in Washington Square Park and Central Park and love them both dearly.

Thanks for checking out Part 2 of my trip to New York. If you didn’t see Part 1 you can see it here.

Part 3 will have a recap of my time in Brooklyn, a ferry ride and some general street photography. Some of my favorite images of the whole trip are to come.
